Seattle police are urging the public to assist in identifying a suspect involved in a violent robbery that occurred in the Pioneer Square area earlier this month.

According to the Seattle Police Department, the incident took place on March 26 at approximately 3:35 p.m. at Saveway Market, located in the 100 block of Occidental Avenue South.

Authorities report that the suspect assaulted two employees while stealing a glass wine bottle. During the attack, the man used the bottle as a weapon, striking both victims. A 27-year-old employee suffered serious facial injuries, while a 35-year-old victim sustained significant head trauma.

The suspect fled the scene on foot before officers arrived and has not yet been located.

Police describe the individual as a Black male between 20 and 30 years old, with a slim build and approximately 5’9” tall. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a white t-shirt used as a head covering, a white face mask, a white long-sleeve shirt with a rectangular logo on the front, black sweatpants, and black athletic shoes.

Investigators warn that the suspect should be considered dangerous and advise the public not to approach him. Anyone who spots the individual is urged to call emergency services immediately.
