The Bellevue Police Department has launched an investigation into a deadly traffic collision that occurred Friday night in Bellevue.
At approximately 9:07 p.m. on April 24, officers responded to reports of a serious crash at the intersection of SE 41st Place and Factoria Boulevard SE. According to preliminary findings, an 18-year-old motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed along Factoria Boulevard when he collided with a vehicle attempting to make a turn.
Emergency responders from Bellevue Fire Department administered life-saving measures at the scene, but the young rider was pronounced dead.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and fully cooperated with investigators. Initial assessments indicate that the driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol and was subsequently released.
The case is currently being handled by Bellevue Police’s Traffic and Collision Investigation Unit. Officials state that the investigation remains ongoing, and additional updates will be shared through official channels, including the Bellevue Beat Blog.
