Seattle, WA — Seattle police detectives are investigating the death of a man found inside a tent encampment in South Seattle on Wednesday morning.
Just before 9:00 a.m., officers responded to reports of a body near Cheasty Boulevard South and South Winthrop Street. Upon arrival, they discovered an unidentified man who was apparently deceased at the scene.
Police secured and cordoned off the area while detectives processed evidence and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. At this stage, authorities have not released details on what may have led to the incident.
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office will take custody of the body and determine the official cause and manner of death.
