Seattle police arrested a 31-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man after discovering them inside a stolen vehicle at a storage facility in the South Lake Union area late at night on May 17.
Officers responded to a trespassing report around 9:30 p.m. at the 700 block of Fairview Avenue North. Upon arrival, they found both suspects asleep inside a stolen car while allegedly holding drug paraphernalia. Both individuals were detained for investigation.
During the search, police recovered two firearms, $666 in cash, and 4.6 grams of fentanyl. Authorities also reported a large amount of suspected stolen property, including laptops, gaming consoles, safes, electronics, clothing, and a drone.
Investigators later confirmed that the male suspect had multiple outstanding warrants totaling over $430,000, involving charges such as theft, robbery, hit and run, possession of stolen property, and escape. Both suspects are convicted felons and legally prohibited from possessing firearms.
The pair has been booked into King County Jail on multiple felony charges, including unlawful possession of firearms, possession of stolen firearms, possession of a stolen vehicle, and narcotics-related offenses. Further charges may follow as the investigation continues.
