A 57-year-old Renton man was killed Tuesday evening following a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle in Kent, according to the Kent Police Department.

The crash occurred around 6:08 p.m. on May 28, 2026, in the 23600 block of 104th Avenue SE. Kent Police officers and Puget Sound Fire personnel responded to reports of a serious collision involving a motorcycle and a car.

Authorities said the motorcyclist suffered critical injuries, and emergency crews immediately began lifesaving efforts at the scene. Despite medical intervention, the rider was pronounced dead from his injuries.

Witnesses told investigators the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on 104th Avenue SE at a high rate of speed and was reportedly performing wheelies before the collision occurred. Police stated the motorcycle struck a vehicle that was traveling southbound and turning left onto 236th Place.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

During the investigation, police discovered the motorcycle had been reported stolen. The Kent Police Traffic Unit has taken over the investigation.

Authorities have not released the identity of the victim pending notification of family members.
