USAKent Police Investigating Suspicious Death After Early-Morning 911 Call

KENT, Wash. — June 3, 2026 — The Kent Police Department is investigating a suspicious death following a 911 report of shots fired in the 400 block of Alder Lane early Wednesday morning.

According to police, officers responded to the scene at approximately 4:20 a.m. and discovered an unconscious woman with visible injuries to her face and head. Officers immediately provided life-saving medical aid before paramedics arrived, but the woman was later pronounced dead.

Authorities stated that it was not initially confirmed whether the victim had been struck by gunfire or died from another cause. Detectives from the Kent Police Department have taken over the investigation.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause and manner of death.

Police are asking anyone with information related to the incident or the deceased individual to contact the Kent Police Department Tip Line at 253-856-5808. Individuals with urgent or time-sensitive information are encouraged to call 911.

The investigation remains ongoing.
