RENTON, WA — Runners, walkers, and families are invited to celebrate Independence Day with the annual Hot Dog Hustle 5K on July 4, 2026, at the Renton Community Center. The community event offers a fun and active way to kick off the holiday, featuring professional chip timing and free hot dogs for participants after the race.
Organized by Renton Parks and Recreation, the event welcomes competitive runners, casual walkers, families, and even participants with dogs. Those who register before June 17 at 9 a.m. will receive an official Hot Dog Hustle 5K T-shirt.
The race is part of Renton’s Fourth of July celebrations and encourages residents to enjoy fitness, community spirit, and patriotic festivities while marking America’s 250th anniversary year.
