Former Governor of Reserve Bank of India Shaktikanta Das has been given a big responsibility. About two months after his retirement, he has been appointed Principal Secretary-2 to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This appointment will remain till further orders. An order has also been issued in this regard.
According to the order, this appointment will continue till the tenure of the Prime Minister or till further orders. It has been said in the order that the appointment will be for the length of his tenure with the Prime Minister. At the same time, this appointment will remain effective until a new order is issued.
Shaktikanta Das was born in 1957 in Odisha and had a very good education. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history. Shaktikanta Das was the Secretary of Economic Affairs from 2015 to 2017. In the year 2018, he became the 25th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India and retired from this post only two months ago.
