Who met Rahul Gandhi and not only expressed his unhappiness over his isolation within the party but also asked him about his role within the party.
Shashi Tharoor’s meeting with Rahul Gandhi took place on 18 February. Even amid the news going on since morning, Tharoor made a post which is interesting. In it he has said, ‘Where ignorance is bliss, intelligence is foolishness.’
This unhappiness of Shashi Tharoor has come to the fore at a time when he is continuously marginalized in the party after praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to America. After his statement, the Kerala unit of the party in its mouthpiece strongly criticized Shashi Tharoor for speaking out of line with the party.
However, Tharoor had later clarified that the statement he had given was in the national interest and not in the capacity of a party leader. Despite this, swords are drawn against him within the party.
