INTERNATIONALDirect trade started between Pakistan and Bangladesh, 50 thousand tons of rice will be sent to Dhaka

For the first time since 1971, direct trade has started between Pakistan and Bangladesh. For the first time, a Pakistani ship carrying government goods has left for Bangladesh. This government consignment has been dispatched from Port Qasim.

In early February, a direct trade agreement was signed between Bangladesh and Pakistan. Under this, Bangladesh agreed to buy 50 thousand tonnes of Pakistani rice through Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP).

According to the news, for the first time a ship of Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) carrying government goods will land at a Bangladeshi port. This will prove to be a milestone in the maritime trade relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Under the agreement signed this month, Bangladesh will import 50 thousand tonnes of rice from Pakistan Trading Corporation (TCP). This consignment will be delivered in two phases. 25 thousand tonnes of rice will be sent in the first consignment.
