KENT, WA — The Washington State Department of Transportation is seeking community feedback on a major paving and accessibility project planned along SR 516 in Kent.
The project will repave sections of W Willis Street, Central Avenue S, E Smith Street and Canyon Drive, stretching from SR 181 to the vicinity of SR 515/104th Avenue Southeast. Plans also include upgrading curb ramps and sidewalk connections to improve accessibility and meet current ADA standards.
WSDOT is also gathering public input to help shape potential improvements for pedestrians, bicyclists and other road users. Construction is currently planned for summer 2029, according to project information.
