Shocking facts have come to light in the CAG report regarding the Mohalla clinics operated during the tenure of the AAP government in the capital Delhi. According to the report, the medicine store in South Delhi is in the basement, which does not even have air conditioning and ventilation.

Boxes of medicines were found kept on the ground, toilet premises and stairs. Between January 2022 and April 2023, 26 essential medicines were not available in the drug stores of North Eastern district for one to 16 months. In this way, 10 to 37 percent of medicines for dispensaries were not available in the stores of the districts.

At the same time, between 2016 and 2020, out of about 17 lakh school students, only 2.81 lakh to 3.51 lakh students were able to undergo health checkup. There is a shortage of space to store medicines in the drug store centers of the districts.

Negligence was also observed in monitoring Mohalla clinics. There was little to no inspection. Between March 2018 and March 2023, 11,191 inspections of 218 mohalla clinics should have been conducted, whereas only 175 inspections were conducted. Ayush dispensaries are also in bad shape
