US Secret Service agents shot dead an armed man believed to have come from Indiana near the White House early Sunday.
No one else was injured in the shooting, which occurred about a block from the White House, according to a statement from the Secret Service. President Donald Trump was in Florida at the time of the shooting
The Secret Service received information from local police about an alleged suicidal man who was traveling from Indiana. Agents found the man’s car and a man matching the description nearby.
The injured man was hospitalized.
