Mark Carney elected as the new Prime Minister of Canada. Mark Carney, who studied economics from Harvard University in America, got 85.9 percent votes. In 2008, he was appointed Governor of the Bank of Canada.

Former Governor of the Bank of Canada and Bank of England, Mark Carney, has been elected as the new Prime Minister of Canada. He will replace Justin Trudeau. 59-year-old Carney got 85.9 percent of the votes.

Born in Northwest Territories Canada, Mark Carney (Canada’s New PM) spent his childhood in Edmonton. He studied economics from Harvard University in the US. After this, he obtained a master’s degree from Oxford University and then obtained a doctorate in economics in 1995.
