On the day of Holi, strong tremors of earthquake were felt in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the National Center for Seismology, an earthquake of 5.2 magnitude hit Kargil in Ladakh on Friday morning, while tremors were also felt in Jammu and Kashmir. The earthquake occurred at 2.50 am at a depth of 15 kilometers.
Just three hours after this earthquake, tremors were felt in Northeast India as well. Tremors were felt in the West Kameng region of Arunachal Pradesh at around 6 am. An earthquake of 4.0 magnitude hit this area. The earthquake struck at a depth of 10 kilometers. Apart from this, an earthquake of 4.3 magnitude also hit Tibet at 2 pm on March 13.

People woke up at night due to the earthquake tremors and came out of their homes. Many users said that the tremors were strong and lasted for a few seconds.
