Aurangzeb’s tomb (Aurangzeb Makbara) located in Sambhajinagar district of Maharashtra is in danger. Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) have intensified the demand to remove Aurangzeb’s tomb.
Hindu organizations have threatened that if the government fails to take action, they will do ‘Kar Seva’. Amidst these threats, the police has issued an alert in the city. Heavy force has been deployed outside the mausoleum.
Bajrang Dal and VHP say that Aurangzeb’s tomb located in Khuldabad of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar is a divisive symbol and promotes communal discord. Both groups have planned protests outside tehsildar and district collector offices across Maharashtra, demanding its removal.
