Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is in no mood to give up on Hamas, the PM has ordered to increase the resumed attacks to release the hostages. The Israeli army said on Wednesday that its forces have resumed the ground operation in the central and southern Gaza Strip
The Israeli military said its operation extended Israel’s control over the Netzarim corridor, which divides Gaza in two, and was a “concentrated” maneuver aimed at creating a partial buffer zone between the enclave’s north and south.
Palestinian militant group Hamas said the ground operation and incursions into the Netzarim corridor were a new and dangerous violation of a two-month-old ceasefire agreement. One foreign worker was killed and five staffers were injured in an attack on a UN site in central Gaza City on Wednesday, the United Nations said.
Gaza’s health ministry attributed the attack to Israel, but Israel denied it, saying it hit a Hamas site where it detected preparations to fire into Israeli territory.
