US President Donald Trump said that he hopes India will soon reduce the tariffs imposed on American goods. Along with this, he reiterated that America will impose tariffs on India from April 2. In an interview to an American news website, Trump said that he has good relations with India.
He further said, my only problem with India is that they are one of the countries that imposes the highest tariffs in the world.Trump said, I believe they are probably going to reduce those tariffs substantially, but on April 2, we will charge them the same tariffs that they charge us.
Regarding the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEEC), he said that it is a group of great countries that are coming together to face those countries that are harming America in trade. During this, he did not name China. During this he did not take China’s name. This agreement was signed during PM Modi’s visit to America.
