During the recent war with Iran, Israel used its weapons on a large scale. After the shortage of weapons, America is now going to send a consignment of weapons to Israel. A huge deal has been struck between the two countries. The United States on Monday (June 30, 2025) announced approval of the sale of $510 million to Israel for bomb guidance kits and related support. Israel recently expended significant ammunition in its recent conflict with Iran.
“The proposed sale will enhance Israel’s ability to deter current and future threats by improving its ability to defend its borders, critical infrastructure, and populated areas,” the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) said in a statement.
“The United States is committed to Israel’s security, and assisting Israel in developing and maintaining a strong, self-defense capability is vital to US national interests,” it said.” The State Department has approved the potential sale and DSCA has made the necessary notification to the US Congress, which still needs to sign off on the transaction.
Israel launched a major air campaign on June 13 targeting Iranian nuclear sites, scientists and top military officials in an attempt to destroy the country’s nuclear program. Tehran says the program is for civilian purposes, But Washington and other powers insist the goal is to acquire nuclear weapons.
Donald Trump has spent weeks pursuing a diplomatic path to replace the nuclear deal with Tehran, which he abandoned during his first term in 2018,But he ultimately decided to take military action and ordered US strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.
The fighting halted last week’s ceasefire but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to prevent Tehran from rebuilding its nuclear plants, raising the prospect of future conflict
