Several people were attacked with a knife near a shopping centre in the Finnish city of Tampere on Thursday. Police have arrested one person. The injured are being given first aid. They did not give any details about the severity of the injuries or the culprit.
Police said they were questioning people and had cordoned off the scene. Traffic was paralysed in the centre of Tampere, the country’s third-largest city and about 180 kilometres north of Helsinki, public broadcaster YLE reported. Local newspaper Aamulehti reported the person arrested was a man.
