In Indonesia, a passenger ship caught fire while it was going to Manado port. There were about 280 people on the ship and after the fire broke out, there was chaos among them. So far 3 people have died due to the fire and many passengers are stranded on the ship. Officials said that about 150 people have been rescued.
According to reports, the fire broke out at 1:30 pm local time. A passenger on the ship named KM Barcelona VA jumped into the sea after the fire broke out and then livestreamed it on Facebook. The man was swimming with a child in his lap. In the video, the man is heard saying, “Save us. We are burning in the sea.” The reason for the fire has not been revealed yet. An investigation has been launched but it is believed the fire may have been caused by a short circuit, fuel leak or engine failure.
