Doctors have advised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to take rest after his health suddenly deteriorated. Netanyahu’s office informed that he has suffered from food poisoning. It is being told that his health suddenly started deteriorating at night, after which the doctors said that he had a lack of water in his intestines and body. Currently, he is undergoing treatment and is being given fluids.
Following the advice of doctors, he will now rest at his home and handle government work from there. Meanwhile, after his health deteriorated, the hearing of the corruption case against him has also been postponed. The next hearing on this case will not take place before September, as courts are closed in Israel due to summer holidays. This case started in the year 2020 and its hearing has been postponed several times so far.
Earlier, Netanyahu had postponed the hearing citing the Gaza war and then the conflict in Lebanon. In this case, Netanyahu and his wife Sara are accused of accepting expensive gifts worth $260,000. This includes cigars, jewelry and champagne. In return, he is accused of allegedly providing political help.
Netanyahu has struggled with many health problems in the past. A pacemaker was installed in his heart in 2023. After this, he had to undergo prostate surgery in December.
