The National Center of Meteorology (NCM), reported rainfall over parts of the country today. A yellow alert for convective clouds was also issued, across parts of the country. According to NCM, light to moderate rain was reported over Margham in Dubai. Light to moderate rainfall was also reported over North of Madinat Zayed, South of Bu Humrah, and over Asab in Al Dhafra region.
According to the alert, “a chance of convective cloud formation associated with rainfall and fresh to strong winds at times causing blowing dust,” will be seen over some eastern and southern regions. The forecast also states these weather conditions will begin from 2.30pmResidents across parts of Al Ain, Al Dhafra were advised to exercise caution by the Abu Dhabi Police. The alert called on motorists to “exercise caution due to the rainy weather and to follow the changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards. Drive safely.”
The NCM forecast also states humid weather conditions tonight, which will continue until Wednesday, July 23, morning over some coastal areas — causing fog or mist formations.
The highest temperature reported today was 49.6 degrees Celsius in Mezaira, Al Dhafra Region, despite the rain. The lowest temperature, on the other hand, was 24.6 degrees Celsius in Al Heben Mountain in Fujairah, this morning.
