Jailed former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has hit out at Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir, saying the general is disrespecting the military and sacrificing national interests to maintain his grip on power. Imran Khan recently said in a post on the internet media, the country is running under Munir’s law and the ISI is protecting him. He is ready to sacrifice every national interest to maintain his hold on power.
Asim Munir is insulting the army just like Yahya Khan had once done. It is worth mentioning that during the rule of former army chief General Yahya Khan, there was a civil war in East Pakistan. As a result of which Bangladesh emerged. This statement of Imran Khan has come before his party’s campaign against the Pakistani government which will start next month. Imran Khan said that at present the Senate, National Assembly, Prime Minister and President are all unconstitutional.
A former chief justice of Pakistan has filed a contempt of court petition against Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif for failing to implement a Supreme Court ruling.
