SDM of Ramnagar (Udhampur), Rajendra Singh, and his six-year-old son died on the spot when a huge rock fell on their car from a mountain in Reasi district of Jammu division on Friday evening. The injured include SDM’s wife, cousin brother-sister-in-law, their daughter and driver.
All of them have been admitted to Reasi District Hospital. A total of seven people were in the Scorpio car. According to information, SDM Rajendra Singh was going to his village Pattiyan with his family.On the way, a huge rock and debris fell directly on their vehicle from the mountain. As soon as the accident was known, local people and police reached the spot and started relief and rescue work. In this accident, SDM Rajendra Singh and his son Aarav died on the spot. SDM’s wife Nishu, cousin brother Surjit Singh son Shankar Singh, sister-in-law, their daughter and the driver were injured.

It was learned from some relatives of the SDM that a sister-in-law of the SDM had died eight days ago.
