The Central Government has once again indicated to mediate to resolve the water dispute of Sutlej-Yamuna Link Canal (SYL) between Haryana and Punjab. Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil, who reached Haryana with the special achievements of the budget, said that whoever has the right should get it. The Supreme Court is also in favor of this.
The Supreme Court has asked the government to reach an agreement on the resolution of the dispute with mutual coordination between the two states. The Center will try to hold a meeting soon to resolve the SYL dispute between Haryana and Punjab
Patil has claimed that Haryana is giving more water to Delhi than its requirement. BJP government came to power in Delhi. Now Yamuna will be cleaned on the lines of Ganga.
