Seattle, WA — October 9, 2025:
Seattle police are investigating a late-night shooting that left a 40-year-old man seriously injured in South Seattle on Wednesday.
Just after 11:00 p.m. on October 8, patrol officers responded to reports of gunfire near South Winthrop Street and Cheasty Boulevard South. When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from significant injuries to his head and face, believed to be caused by a gunshot wound.
The Seattle Fire Department provided emergency medical aid at the scene before transporting the man to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
Officers documented the scene, collected ballistic evidence, and photographed the area. Police have not yet identified any suspects or determined a motive in the shooting.
