124 journalists killed in 2024, most killed in Israel
Many journalists are being killed amid the ongoing fighting and conflict. This has been revealed in a recent report, the committee formed for the safety of journalists said that last year a record number of journalists were murdered across the world
Also, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists, Israel is responsible for 70% of these deaths. CPJ said in a statement that at least 124 journalists in 18 countries have died in 2024.
This will be the deadliest year for journalists and media workers since the committee began recording these figures more than three decades ago
