Police Investigating Drive-by Shooting in Seattle’s Capitol Hill Neighborhood

Seattle, WA – October 28, 2025: The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is investigating a drive-by shooting that left a 26-year-old man injured early Wednesday morning in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.

According to police, officers responded to reports of gunfire around 3:00 a.m. in the 1500 block of East Olive Way. Upon arrival, they discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm.

The Seattle Fire Department (SFD) provided emergency medical care at the scene before transporting the victim to Harborview Medical Center, where he remains in stable condition, officials said.

Officers located ballistic evidence near East Denny Way and East Olive Way and processed the area for clues. Investigators believe the shots were fired from a vehicle that fled northbound on East Olive Way before police arrived.

At this time, there is no suspect description, and the motive behind the shooting remains unclear.

Detectives from the Gun Violence Reduction Unit are leading the investigation.
