USAKent Police Arrest Several Individuals in Downtown Park Drug Operation

Kent, WA — October 30, 2025:
Kent Police officers arrested several individuals this week following reports of illegal drug activity at a downtown park, a location authorities say has been a recurring site for substance-related issues.

At approximately 3:45 p.m., Officer Fry responded to a 911 call about a large group of adults openly using drugs in the park. Upon arrival, the officer found about 15 people allegedly engaged in drug use. When questioned, most of the group dispersed, but one suspect, a 28-year-old Kent man, was detained and charged with obstruction after initially refusing to cooperate.

A second suspect, a 30-year-old from Enumclaw, and a third suspect, a 36-year-old Kent resident, were both arrested for violating SODA (Stay Out of Drug Areas) restrictions and possession of methamphetamine.
A fourth suspect was also taken into custody for SODA violations and providing false information to officers. Police later confirmed the suspect had multiple outstanding warrants, including one for DUI, and he now faces an additional charge for giving a false name.

All suspects were booked into the City of Kent Corrections Facility.

Kent Police commended Officer Fry and backup units for their teamwork and reminded the public to report suspicious activities by calling 911 or the non-emergency line at 253-852-2121.

Authorities also shared resources for those struggling with addiction, including:
