Renton, WA — A crash involving two vehicles occurred late Thursday night on the southbound I-5 ramp to northbound I-405, temporarily affecting traffic flow.
According to Trooper Rick Johnson of the Washington State Patrol, a silver car traveling too fast for the wet road conditions lost control and went up onto a barrier. A second vehicle, also driving too fast for conditions, struck the same barrier shortly after.
Both drivers were cited for driving too fast for the conditions. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, and the road has since been reopened to traffic.
Authorities are reminding drivers to reduce their speed and use extra caution on slick or wet roads as weather conditions continue to change across the region.
