Seattle, WA (November 2, 2025) — Detectives are investigating a shooting that left a 27-year-old man seriously injured early Saturday morning outside a nightclub in Pioneer Square.
According to the Seattle Police Department (SPD), the incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. near the 100 block of South Washington Street, where officers assigned to the Joint Enforcement Team (JET) were already in the area when they heard several gunshots.
Upon responding, officers contacted a 25-year-old security guard who witnesses reported had discharged his firearm. The guard was detained without incident after dropping his weapon and removing his ballistic vest.
Meanwhile, police located a 27-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Officers administered first aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center, where he remains in serious condition.
Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives responded to process the scene, interview the suspect at SPD Headquarters, and speak with the victim at the hospital.
The suspect was booked into King County Jail on suspicion of assault.
