Seattle, WA (November 2, 2025) — The National Weather Service (NWS) Seattle has issued a reminder for residents to stay alert as area rivers continue running high following the latest atmospheric river that moved through the region.
A photo shared by NWS Seattle showed Snoqualmie Falls roaring with heavy flow earlier today — a sign of the ongoing high water levels across western Washington.
Officials are warning drivers to be cautious when traveling near rivers or low-lying roads. The NWS emphasized the message: “Turn around, don’t drown,” reminding the public that even shallow floodwaters can be extremely dangerous.
Meteorologists continue to monitor river levels and forecast additional rainfall in some areas. Residents are advised to avoid flooded roads, monitor weather alerts, and prepare for potential flooding in vulnerable zones.
