Kent, WA — November 4, 2025:
Cycling enthusiasts in Kent have a new route to explore! The City of Kent Government is encouraging residents to take part in a local bike adventure known as Mel’s Loop, an 8.7-mile ride that begins and ends at the East Hill YMCA (10828 SE 248th St, Kent).
The loop offers a diverse riding experience, combining bike lanes, neighborhood cut-throughs, and a scenic stretch of the Soos Creek Trail. Riders can expect a mix of gentle rolling hills and smooth trails that make for both a refreshing workout and a peaceful ride through Kent’s neighborhoods and natural areas.
In its social media post, the City invited residents to “Let’s go for a ride!” and provided a link with more route details.
The initiative supports Kent’s ongoing efforts to promote active transportation, healthy living, and community engagement through outdoor recreation. With autumn weather offering crisp, cool air and colorful scenery, the timing couldn’t be better for locals to hop on their bikes and enjoy Mel’s Loop.
