City of Kent Encourages Residents to Join ‘Adopt-A-Street’ Program to Keep the Community Clean

USACity of Kent Encourages Residents to Join ‘Adopt-A-Street’ Program to Keep the Community Clean

Kent, WA — November 3, 2025:
The City of Kent Government is calling on residents, neighborhood groups, and local businesses to take part in the city’s Adopt-A-Street program, a community-driven effort to help keep Kent’s streets and sidewalks clean.

With over 320 miles of streets and sidewalks across the city, Kent officials emphasize that maintaining a clean and safe environment is a shared responsibility. The program encourages participants to “adopt” a specific area and commit to regular cleanups throughout the year.

“This program is a partnership between the city and neighborhood groups, businesses, and residents to keep Kent clean,” the city’s post explained.

Volunteers who join will receive supplies and support from the city to assist with cleanup efforts. Participants can sign up and learn more at KentWA.gov/Adopt-A-Street or by calling 253-856-5500.

The City of Kent’s initiative not only promotes environmental stewardship but also helps strengthen community pride and involvement in maintaining public spaces.

Residents are encouraged to gather friends, coworkers, or neighbors and join the movement to make a visible difference in Kent’s neighborhoods.
