Seattle, WA —
Seattle police detectives have arrested and booked a 34-year-old convicted felon into the King County Jail following a shooting that left one man critically injured in South Seattle Friday morning.
According to the Seattle Police Department (SPD), the incident began around 10:00 a.m. near the 800 block of Rainier Avenue South, after a disturbance broke out between the suspect and victim aboard a King County Metro bus. The bus driver ordered both men to exit, at which point the confrontation escalated and the suspect allegedly shot the victim.

Detectives later discovered that one of the 911 calls about the shooting came from the suspect himself, who stayed at the location until officers arrived.
Emergency personnel with the Seattle Fire Department treated the victim at the scene before transporting him to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition. As of 4:00 p.m., his condition was reported as stable following emergency surgery.
The suspect, who is legally prohibited from possessing firearms due to prior felony convictions, was arrested and booked for Assault and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
