Kent, WA — 
The City of Kent invites residents to an inspiring evening of cultural connection and culinary exploration as part of its Equity & Inclusion Speaker Series. The event, titled “Bridging Cultures Through Cuisines,” will feature Chef Christina Arokiassamy, an internationally recognized culinary expert, on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Kent Senior Activity Center (600 E. Smith St.).

The presentation will explore how cooking serves as a powerful medium for cross-cultural understanding, economic empowerment, and heritage preservation. Attendees will have the opportunity to discover the authentic flavors, traditions, and stories behind diverse global cuisines.

Chef Arokiassamy will delve into culinary traditions from Latin America, Southeast Asia, India, and Persia, sharing the secrets of spice blending, traditional sauces, and ancestral cooking techniques that define each culture’s unique dishes.
