Kent, WA — November 12, 2025 — The City of Kent’s Equity and Inclusion Speaker Series will feature internationally renowned chef Christina Arokiasammy in a special presentation titled “Bridging Cultures Through Cuisines.” The event will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Kent Senior Activity Center located at 600 E. Smith St., Kent, WA 98030.

The presentation will explore how one simple ingredient can transform cooking into a meaningful medium for cross-cultural understanding, economic empowerment, and heritage preservation. Chef Arokiasammy will guide attendees through the authentic flavors, techniques, and stories behind dishes from Latin America, Southeast Asia, India, and Persia. Participants will learn about spice blending, traditional sauces, and ancestral cooking methods that define global cuisines.

This event, part of Kent’s Equity and Inclusion Speaker Series, aims to celebrate diversity and foster community connection through shared cultural experiences.
