Bellevue, WA —The Bellevue Police Department has confirmed that the scene involving a suspicious package near 183rd Place SE between SE Cougar Mountain Way and SE 86th Street has been secured. Authorities announced that law enforcement will begin clearing the area shortly and thanked residents for their patience.
Earlier in the evening, police issued a road closure alert and advised residents that they might hear loud bangs as part of the investigation. The incident prompted a temporary closure and media staging near 161st Place SE and SE Cougar Mountain Way.
No injuries have been reported, and the police have not released additional details about the nature of the package.
