KENT, WA – November 2025 — The City of Kent has recognized Lindsay Walker, Economic and Community Development Planner, as its Employee of the Month for November 2025, celebrating her outstanding contributions to the city’s planning and development efforts.

Lindsay joined the City of Kent in 2022 as a Professional Planner, bringing expertise in current and environmental planning, as well as land use management. Known for her professionalism, warmth, and engaging personality, she has consistently delivered exceptional work in managing reviews and permits for several of the city’s most significant development projects.

In addition to her regular duties, Lindsay has played an important role in onboarding new employees, helping them integrate smoothly into the Current Planning team and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Her dedication was further demonstrated when she temporarily joined the long-range planning team this past summer, contributing to the city’s comprehensive plan update. Her remarkable performance on that project earned her the 2025 Planning Award from the Planning Association of Washington.

“Lindsay’s sense of humor, honesty, and willingness to help others make her an invaluable part of our team,” said city officials. “Her commitment to growth and collaboration sets a standard of excellence for all.”

The City of Kent extends its gratitude to Lindsay Walker for her dedication, teamwork, and continued service to the community.
