KENT, Wash. — The City of Kent is inviting residents to take part in its November Green Kent Work Party, an ongoing volunteer effort aimed at restoring and maintaining local natural areas.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 15, at Mill Creek Canyon Earthworks Park. According to the city’s announcement, community members will work together on environmental tasks such as clearing invasive plants, cleaning debris, and supporting the health of the park’s ecosystem.
A promotional image shared by the city shows an assortment of gloves and tools prepared for volunteers, underscoring the hands-on nature of the work and the community spirit behind the Green Kent initiative. The program, a collaborative effort between Green Kent, Kent Parks, and the City of Kent, focuses on long-term environmental stewardship across the area’s forests and green spaces.
City officials noted that even a small turnout can make a meaningful impact, encouraging residents to join the effort and help preserve Kent’s natural landscapes for future generations.
