Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s tone has changed in view of America’s stance regarding the Ukraine war. In the security conference being held in Germany, he has expressed the need for the formation of a strong European army to fight Russia.
He said, Europe cannot expect security from America for long. Europe will get respect from America only when it also has a strong army. Zelensky has expressed fear of future Russian attacks on other European countries after Ukraine.
Zelensky said, the ceasefire agreement regarding Ukraine war will be accepted only if Ukraine is also included in the talks. The Ukrainian President raised the possibility that Russia may invite US President Donald Trump not as an honorific but as a prop at the military parade to be held in Moscow on the anniversary of the victory in World War II.
Zelensky said these things when US Vice President Vance clearly said in the conference on Friday that now the relations between America and Europe are going through a phase of change. On Saturday, the US envoy made it clear at the conference that Europe will not be included in the peace talks regarding the Ukraine war.
