BELLEVUE — A significant traffic disruption is underway on southbound I-405, just north of NE 8th Street, after a collision blocked two left toll lanes and one left general-purpose lane, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
Traffic camera footage from the scene shows multiple emergency units — including Incident Response teams, Washington State Patrol, and fire crews — working along the roadway. Several emergency vehicles are parked across blocked lanes as responders assess the situation and assist those involved.
The collision has created heavy backups through the corridor, with delays expected to continue throughout the morning. Drivers traveling through Bellevue are urged to plan for significant delays or use alternative routes until the scene is cleared.
WSDOT will provide further updates as crews continue to manage the incident and reopen lanes.
