Seattle, WA — The Drug Enforcement Administration’s Seattle Field Division announced a major series of operations that resulted in the seizure of an estimated 3.4 million lethal doses of fentanyl, more than 50 firearms, and the arrest of 18 individuals connected to drug-trafficking activity in the Seattle region throughout October.
In a press briefing, federal and local law enforcement partners stood alongside DEA officials to detail the month-long coordinated enforcement efforts. Authorities said the takedowns targeted several interconnected narcotics networks operating in King, Snohomish, and Lewis counties.
According to investigators, one suspect, a 30-year-old Sammamish resident, maintained a stash house in Centralia that contained a large quantity of fentanyl pills, packaging materials, currency, and numerous firearms. Images released by the agency show tables filled with rifles and handguns, as well as bags containing large amounts of suspected fentanyl pills.
Officials emphasized that the growing availability of fentanyl continues to pose a severe threat to communities across Washington. The DEA noted that a single counterfeit pill can be deadly, making the seizure of millions of potential lethal doses a significant disruption to regional distribution networks.
The takedowns were executed with assistance from the Seattle Police Department, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, and other state and federal partners.
The DEA says further arrests and investigations may follow as agents continue tracking the supply chains behind the seized drugs and weapons.
