Kent, WA — The City of Kent has officially kicked off its annual Winterfest, a month-long series of holiday events designed to bring the community together throughout the festive season.

City officials announced several activities scheduled for December, inviting residents to participate in celebrations ranging from shopping events to musical performances and fitness-friendly traditions.

The festivities began with Shop Small Saturday on November 29, encouraging residents to support local businesses ahead of the holidays.

On December 6, the city will host the Winterfest Tree Lighting Festival, a community favorite featuring seasonal lights, family-friendly entertainment, and holiday cheer.

The celebration continues on December 7 with the Magical Strings Yuletide Concert, offering a festive musical experience for attendees.

Wrapping up the month’s events, the Christmas Rush 5k/10k will take place on December 13, providing an energetic holiday tradition for runners and families.
