Kent Promotes Metro Flex, an On-Demand Neighborhood Transit Service

USAKent Promotes Metro Flex, an On-Demand Neighborhood Transit Service

The City of Kent is highlighting Metro Flex, an on-demand neighborhood transit option now available to riders throughout the Kent area.

Metro Flex allows users to book rides quickly and easily through a smartphone app, offering point-to-point travel anywhere within the service zone for the same cost as a standard bus fare. The service is operated by King County Metro and is designed to complement fixed-route transit, providing more flexible transportation for short trips, first-/last-mile connections, and areas not well served by traditional bus routes.

City officials describe Metro Flex as a convenient and affordable way for residents to get around, putting reliable transit “at your fingertips.”

A Metro Flex vehicle and a King County Metro bus were featured in the city’s promotional photo to emphasize the integration of services across the transit network.
