Redmond, WA — Drivers heading eastbound on State Route 520 (SR 520) in Redmond experienced significant delays after three right lanes were blocked just west of State Route 202, according to an update from the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
As of the latest update, traffic backups had stretched more than three miles, causing heavy congestion and extended travel times through the area. WSDOT is urging motorists to expect delays and consider alternate routes while crews work to manage the situation.
Traffic camera footage from the scene showed heavy congestion with emergency vehicles present, indicating an active incident response. The cause of the lane closures has not yet been officially detailed.
