Officer-Involved Shooting Reported at Bellevue Transit Center

USAOfficer-Involved Shooting Reported at Bellevue Transit Center

Bellevue, WA — Bellevue Police responded to a call for service at approximately 12:24 p.m. on Friday at the Bellevue Transit Center, located at 10850 NE 6th Street. During the response, an on-duty Bellevue Police officer was involved in an officer-involved shooting.

Both the officer and the suspect sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

In accordance with state law and an agreement with the King County Independent Force Investigation Team (KC-IFIT), the investigation of the incident has been officially transferred to KC-IFIT. This independent team will conduct a thorough review of the events leading up to and during the shooting.

Authorities have stated that any further information will be released by KC-IFIT as the investigation continues.

Bellevue Police emphasized that the safety of the community and accountability remain top priorities while the investigation is ongoing.
