City of Kent Urges Residents to Report Flood Damage for Assistance Eligibility

USACity of Kent Urges Residents to Report Flood Damage for Assistance Eligibility

KENT, WA — The City of Kent is urging residents and business owners affected by recent severe weather and flooding to report any property damage through the King County Damage Assessment Survey.

City officials say the information collected will help determine eligibility for state and federal disaster assistance, which could support recovery and repair efforts across the county. Reporting damage is critical even if losses appear minor, as cumulative data plays a key role in securing aid.

If funding becomes available, King County will directly contact survey respondents with next steps. The first deadline to submit damage reports is December 28, 2025, though residents are encouraged to continue submitting information even after that date.

The city is continuing flood recovery operations, including debris removal and infrastructure repairs, as crews work to restore affected areas.

Residents and business owners can submit their reports online via the King County Damage Assessment Survey.
