Renton, WA — Residents in Renton can once again take advantage of free holiday tree recycling, as Republic Services resumes curbside pickup for unadorned Christmas trees through January 16.

According to the City of Renton, Republic Services will collect holiday trees on residents’ regular garbage collection day. Trees must be free of all decorations, lights, tinsel, and stands before pickup.

Officials also noted that any tree taller than six feet must be cut in half to ensure proper collection.

Residents with questions or needing additional information are encouraged to contact Republic Services directly at 206-777-6440.

The annual recycling program helps keep holiday trees out of landfills while promoting environmentally responsible disposal across the city.
